Connecting people
… investigates different places in one area, where distance and proximity coexist as they are situated in the former "no man’s land" between the Czech Republic and Austria. In order to connect these two countries – after the fall of the iron curtain - a completely artificial universe was constructed, using the stereotypical architecture of faraway countries and drawing on other elements of human desires. Directly and brutally placed in the fields or on the sides of the roads that connect these two countries, their artificialness is strengthened by constructions that are often kitsch, which incorporate the different forms of consumption in western society.
